Women in the law UK launches its inaugural essay competition

This year’s title is:

‘What remaining barriers exist for women and BAME in women the legal profession and what steps can be taken to see more senior women leaders in in senior roles the law, in firms and courts?
The essay should be no more than 2,000 words. The closing date for submissions is 14 February 2019.
The winner will receive a cash prize of a place at the annual dinner of women in the law uk their essay will be published on the Website website and a mentor. A second, highly commended essay will also be published, with the writer receiving a place and a voucher for legal books.

Who can enter?

The competition is open to UK students, aspiring student lawyers seeking to enter the legal profession. LPC graduates, trainee solicitors and solicitors as of 1 February 2019.

We especially welcome essays from students from non traditional backgrounds, BAME, low socio economic backgrounds.
Women in the laws work focuses on bridging the gap in the law in gender, BAME and socio economic background.
